Hockaday neighborhood Association

dallas, tx

The Hockaday Neighborhood Association Board and volunteers work to provide several events throughout the year for members to celebrate, get acquainted, and fellowship.

4th of July Parade and Festival

Hockaday neighborhood families, the young and the young at heart, even canine members, delight in our traditional 4th of July parade and celebration. See trikes and bikes, scooters and cars, people and pets, all decorated in unique expressions of red, white and blue. Festivities include patriotic music, games, prizes, snacks and camaraderie.  This is a terrific way to sport your patriotic pride and kick off Independence Day morning!

Fall Picnic

HNA member families enjoy catered BBQ, kid activities such as face-painting and a magician, and more at our well-loved annual fall picnic.  It's another happy time for fellowship with neighbors and enjoy cooler weather (most of the time)!

HNA Social Hours

Several times a year, HNA members volunteer to host social hours for other HNA members.  These adult-focused social hours serve wine and hors d'oeuvres and enable neighbors to connect and re-connect.

Neighborhood Family Evening at the Y

Every spring the HNA holds a neighborhood family evening at the Town North (Semones Family) YMCA.  HNA members and guests have access to the entire YMCA, including the pool and gym.  A catered buffet dinner is hosted by the HNA for its members and guests.
